All Will Drive 5k
In 2009 several youth pastors ran the Brookings Marathon (full, half, or relay) to raise funds for Speed the Light. We would now like to give the students across South Dakota a chance to do the same during the AWD5K.This is a free event to participate in, however those who get pledges totaling $10 or more per kilometer are eligible for the prizes. The race begins at 1:30 PM near the corner of Kiwanis and W 12th Street. Runners/Walkers will proceed west to the bike path where they will turn South and follow the path all the way to the finish line at Sertoma Park. At the finish line racers will be provided beverages and snacks.
Most average runners will complete the race in 25-35 minutes. Those who chose to walk the course will be done in about 45-75 minutes.

Unless the weather drops below 30 degrees (actual or wind-chill) we will still have the race. Please dress accordingly.

*If we have more than 10 AWD participants in an age group they will be divided out into their own category for prizes. Possible categories include: MS Boys, MS Girls, HS Boys, HS Girls, Leaders.
