Battle of the Bands
Open for student-only bands to compete for a chance to be our featured band at Winter Escape in February. Bands will be given a 10 minute time slot with a 3 minute set up and sound check. All participants must be registered for Youth Convent10n and attend all services. Attendees will be given a voting ballot to cast their vote for their favorite band. Winning band will be announced during the Sunday morning service.Rules and Registration

Come jump around and battle your friends. We’ve confirmed with Keller Rental for the Gauntlet (pictured) and Wrecking Ball to be up and running from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM when we open the doors for the evening service. Battle your youth pastor, challenge your friends, most of all, have a great time as before the start of the service.

On the Battle of the Bands stage we’ll feature the musical talents of Str8flowin, Blitz Maximus (free tunes), Michael Fugitt (samples), and DJ Steve Wade (iTunes). These artists will get the crowd pumping between Battle of the Band sets and other announcements. You won’t want to miss it.Read more about the artists coming to the Pre-Party below.
DJ Steve Wade
Dj Steve Wade has been rocking dance floors across the US for the last 14 years. He got his start in San Diego where he was mentored by a local record shop owner from Switzerland, Marc (Dj Electric Sheep). Marc helped him find his sound and taught him the basics of mixing. After a few years of practicing, Steve's hard work began to pay off as he had the privilege of sharing the decks with some of the finest Dj's on the planet; Richard “Humpty” Vission, Nigel Richards, Terry Mullan, Micro and Dj Irene to name a few. For several years he was also the Resident Dj at Canes in Mission Beach for a weekely event called “Club Pulse” and played many other clubs and raves all over San Diego and Los Angeles during his time in California. Blitz Maximus F.O.G.
F.O.G. stands for Flame On Gospel. They are a group of Jesus Followers living to make Him known in their lyrics and lives. The group includes Blitz Maximus, Big T, and SieffStyle. All three are from Sioux Falls and have had different journeys that led them to Christ. Blitz Maximus & Big T have opened up for some big names in the Hip-Hop field before Christ transformed their lives. They were part of a underground Hip-Hop group known as the Young Nobles. Michael Fugitt
Although a new name in the music scene, Michael Fugitt is no stranger to the road. He spent 2001 – 2005 touring with the group UN1ON, accumulating over 100 shows a year across the United States. Touring with John Reuben as well as sharing the stage with names such as Switchfoot, Audio Adrenaline, Kutless, Skillet and many others, Michael has had the opportunity to gain a well rounded taste for the Christian music scene. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI he now resides in Sioux Falls, SD. Musically, Michael Fugitt offers everything from energetic hip hop, to slow emotional based songs such as "Moments Like These" Stay tuned for Michael's upcoming single to hit CHR stations across the country.

Str8flowin is a edgy rapper with a lyrical twist describing his passion in every song he writes. One listen to his songs and you will soon understand why they call him “Str8flowin.” I love to write, perform my songs, create beats, play ball, love golf!!, just about anything that keeps me moving and havin fun.
